13 Reasons Why fans, mark your calendars, because you’re getting another season of the hit Netflix drama! Just after its release of season two less than a month ago, Netflix has announced their plans to renew the show for a third season, slated to premiere next year.
After discovering the reasons for Hannah Baker’s suicide through the tapes in the first season, season two focuses on its aftermath, with the characters facing their own issues and learning to heal—and Liberty High preparing to go to trial against Hannah’s mother, Olivia Baker.
According to Buzzfeed News, season three will contain 13 episodes, the same number as the past two seasons, and will also be produced by Paramount TV and Anonymous Content. There aren’t many details surrounding what will happen in the new season, but it will definitely have the answers to all of our questions from the last two.
One major bummer, however, is Katherine Langford, who announced on Instagram that she likely won’t be returning to 13 Reasons Why.
I’m curious to see how the show will go with the absence of Hannah Baker but I guess that will have to wait until next year.
