It turns out that somehow, something good has actually come out of the dumpster fire that was last night’s season finale of The Bachelor. Despite being blindsided by Arie breaking her heart on national television last night (good riddance, I say) and having to deal with seeing her ex propose to someone else on live television tonight, Becca Kufrin has already moved on to greener pastures.
The #BachelorNation favorite has officially announced that she’s the next Bachelorette, and TBH, we can’t think of a better way for her to say “BOY, BYE.” Even with everything her heart’s been through this season, Becca explained to Chris Harrison on last night’s “After the Final Rose” episode that deciding to become the next Bachelorette was actually a no-brainer for her.
“It was [an easy decision], once I got past the initial heartbreak,” Becca said. “At the end of the day, the show is about finding love. That’s all I want to do. I have so much love to give. Hard yes all around. I want to be the best damn Bachelorette I can be.”
Later on ATFR Becca also proved that she’s ready to handle whatever The Bachelorette may throw at her by (calmly and maturely) throwing some serious shade at Arie for what he did to her. “I hope Lauren is your one and that you have found that happiness with her,” she said during her confrontation with Arie. “I just want you to be honest with her. Hold her heart high. Have the most respect for her. Be committed to her because this was a lot to go through.”
Filming for season 14 reportedly starts next week — and we’re almost as thrilled that we’ll be getting more of Becca on our TV screens as we are relieved that we’ll never have to hear Arie say “I love that,” ever again.
