‘Riverdale’ Season 3 Is Going To Give Us A New Big Bad & I’ve Got Goosebumps

WithĀ Riverdale on a summer hiatus, fans are feeling the drought of drama and suspense until the season 3 premiere in October. In the words of Hilary Duff on A Cinderella Story, ā€œWaiting for [Riverdale] is like waiting for rain in this drought, useless and disappointing.ā€

Well, Riverdale fans, hereā€™s a detail about season 3 that might help you make it through the summer: things are about to get shadier.

Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa recently let TV Guide in on a little secret. ā€œHiram is definitely, definitely, definitely one of our big bads,” he said.Ā “Riverdale is a small town, but a big place.”

While season 2 left us with Hiram framing Archie for murder, thereā€™s apparently more on the horizon when it comes to trouble (not that thereā€™s a lack of it ever). Aguirre-Sacasa unfortunately didnā€™t drop any names, but that doesnā€™t mean fans canā€™t spend the next couple of months playing a worthwhile game of ā€œGuess Who?ā€.

Thereā€™s also the possibility of someone new coming onto the playing field and throwing fans a curveball. Itā€™s impossible to know exactly whatā€™s coming, but Iā€™m sure fans are thankful for the little bit of information to keep them satisfied for a few weeks anyway.

Catch the Riverdale season 3 premiere on Wednesday, October 10 at 8/7c on The CW.
