There’s no reason for stigma around seeking mental health help—a full half of college women have visited a therapist, and a quarter see one regularly.
And if you feel anxious or depressed, you’re not alone. Seven out of 10 college women have felt depressed, and half of college women suffer from anxiety. Not surprisingly, 99 percent of college women feel stressed, with stress coming from a variety of sources including academics, money and friends among other sources. Three out of four college women report feeling pressure to be “perfect,” with most reporting that that pressure comes from themselves.
