19 Struggles Only Major Control Freaks Will Understand

We all know and love them: those friends who just have to have things their way. Whether your best friend is a control freak or you are one yourself, you probably know what we’re talking about when we say that being a control freak is…well, a struggle. Here are 18 struggles that only major control freaks will understand.

1. You can’t go an hour without checking your planner

2. You have sticky notes in every color…and you post reminders everywhere

3. You keep track of how many [insert food item here] you have left to make sure none of your roommates are taking your food

4. Google Calendar is your best friend

5. And so is color coding

6. Having a messy room is your pet peeve, and keeping your desk clean is your best habit

7. You take notes on everything that is said in lecture, even if it isn’t important, and you ask a lot of questions

8. Doing things ahead of time gives you the biggest thrill

9. And coming to class or work prepared makes you feel at ease

10. You are always the one to make plans for your friend group

11. And you can’t stand it when someone cancels on you last minute

12. The age old saying “If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself” hits way too close to home

13. You always have to have things go your way, and you hate it when they don’t

14. You aren’t too good at compromising

15. Being called a control freak is a serious pet peeve (although you know it’s totally true)

16. You love it when people ask you for help

17. Setting standards for yourself is good, but you shouldn’t be too hard on yourself

18. Being a control freak isn’t really that bad

19. And sometimes, it can be your best quality
