Despite my forever busy life (welcome to adulthood!), I always try to do my best to stay connected with my family and friends. There are lots of ways to easily communicate with your loved ones (thanks, texting!), but sometimes I think it’s fun to change things up and send a card to show how much I care. I personally love finding the perfect card that captures the essence of my loved one and our relationship, writing a sentimental note, sending it off, and waiting patiently for them to receive their card. Thankfully for me, I can always find the most thoughtful Hallmark cards to send to my family and friends. Below, I’ve rounded up five of my favorite cards that I love to send or give to the special people in my life.
- Taking a moment to just say hello:
-
You don’t always need a special occasion to give someone a card. I like to randomly give a cute card to my friends to say hello and let them know I am thinking about them. A mini card (like this one!) is great to slip into my friends’ backpacks to surprise them later when they discover it!
- Brightening someone’s day:
-
I like to take a moment to brighten my loved ones’ days by reminding them just how incredible they are. I’ll write compliments so they know just how amazing they are. It’s important to me to help them see themselves the way I see them.
- Saying thank you:
-
Whenever someone does something nice for me—whether they baked me a sweet treat or helped me fix something in my apartment—I like to take a moment to say thank you. I never take their help for granted and want them to know that I am grateful for everything they do for me.
- When life happens and I want to remind them that I’m always here for them:
-
As much as I don’t like to admit it, sometimes life can get really tough. Whenever one of my friends is going through a tough time, I send them a card to let them know it’s okay to not feel okay, but that if they ever need someone to talk to or a shoulder to cry on, I am always here for them. It’s a nice way to let them know that they are not alone.
- Telling someone I value our relationship:
-
Let’s be honest: I would be nothing without my family and friends. They are my rocks and support me through everything. I always like to take the opportunity to tell my loved ones that my relationship with them means the world to me because at the end of the day, it’s not the things we own that matter, but the relationships we have.
Give it a try, shop for the perfect Hallmark card for your loved ones and see what a card can do!
