In a world where job and internship hunting can, at times, feel grim, Airbnb is here to give you hope. The hospitality service company is looking to send four very lucky people to Italy this summer, where you’ll essentialy live your best life by cooking pasta while learning how to speak Italian. It’s a part of their Italian sabbatical program, where they put you up—yes, all expenses paid—in a home in Grottole, a quaint town in soutthern Italy. If you listen quietly, you can hear the sound of every person in the United States canceling their current summer plans.Â
The program runs from June to August, and in addition to immersing yourself in the local culture, you’ll volunteer for a local non-profit, Wonder Grottole, whose mission is to revitalize the town’s historical center. After a month of living in Grottole, you’ll become a co-host on Airbnb, where you’ll show guests around town. It’s a lot like studying abroad, minus the homework and paying to be there. So, how do you apply? Submit an application here before February 17, and count your lucky stars.Â
Oh, and, to anyone who has ever said the perfect job doesn’t exist? Go ahead and send them this article.Â
