Gifts For Dad Under $50 – Holiday Gift Guide 2012

Dear old dad: I love you so, but I hate shopping for you. I ask you what you want and you say “you and your sister not to fight,” “a clean room,” or “straight As next semester.” I want to make you happy… but I’m just not so sure how realistic those things are (especially a clean room). Since you won’t tell me what you really want, here goes nothing. I told you to give me some direction! Luckily I have Her Campus to help me out when you won’t.

For the Beatles maniac

If your dad loves The Beatles and comics, you can’t go wrong with “The Beatles In Comic Strips” By Enzo Gentile & Fabio Schiavo. The colorful, fun book is a dad’s idea of a “coffee table book.” Now just make sure he can kick your mom’s garden book off the top of the pile so this book can get the attention it deserves! $40

For the lone coffee drinker

Perfect for his desk or early mornings at home before everyone else wakes up, this Single Cup Coffee Maker is great for someone who just can’t get on board with spending tons at a coffee shop every day.

For the road tripper

Dad spending a lot of time behind the wheel? Show him how much his safety and well-being means to you with this Auto Aid in a Bottle which has all the safety essentials he’ll need in an emergency. The tables have turned on you and dad, huh? $30

For the hip (hop) dad

Does hanging with dad mean his music only? Are you secretly OK with this? If so, go out and get him Beach Sounds Portable Speakers. It’s super retro – like him and his music – but will also keep his “nifty” electronics safe from sand, heat and water. $40

For the golfer

This gift is a hole in one (pun intended, we couldn’t help ourselves). But seriously, keep dad’s golf life a little neater with this Trunk-it Golf Gear Case. If he’s ditching the family every Sunday morning to play, he might as well keep the car organized on the way. No one wants to find themselves sitting on an upright tee on the way to family dinner. $30
