For the past couple of years, I’ve known it’s officially the holiday season when I start seeing cool girl gift guides and unrealistic wish lists flood my TikTok FYP — and I absolutely eat them up. I love seeing what other people are asking for or what they’re getting for their friends, family, roommates, sorority sisters, partners, dogs — whoever, really. Not only does it give me major inspiration for what to get for my BFFs or SO, but it also makes me add (waaaaay too many) things to my own holiday wish list. But honestly? I’m not complaining.
This holiday season, I asked a bunch of Her Campus editors, national writers, and editorial interns about what they’re buying for themselves for the holidays — because it’s 2022, and it’s the perfect time to treat yourself, bestie! While some editors and writers are just getting themselves a little something for the holidays, others have been saving up their coin and are ready to splurge (and as they should!). From fancy espresso machines to cozy lingerie sets to yummy hot chocolate-scented lip balms, here’s what 20 Her Campus editors and writers are buying for themselves this holiday season. BRB, because I think this list just inspired me to add a couple more goodies to my holiday wish list.
AMazon Kindle ($100)
“After dropping a bunch of money on physical books that I still haven’t read, and with my studio apartment space being so limited (I only have so much shelf space to store books!), I think an e-reader might be the way to move forward. L.L. Bean Sherpa Fleece Jacket in Emerald Spruce ($99)
“I’m all about being cozy this holiday season, and what better way to achieve that than with this sherpa jacket from L.L. Bean? Kodak Professional Porta 400 Film ($65)
“For two years now, I’ve asked for film for Christmas. A few years back, [I was] going through my grandpa’s old stuff and I found this old Minolta film camera.
