With Halloween wrapped up in a tight little bow, there’s only one question keeping college students up at night — when will Starbucks launch the holiday season for 2023? The debut of the annual Starbucks holiday menu and cups marks the start of the holiday season for many coffee addicts.
The coffee company has already released a preview of its holiday cold cups, tumblers, and extra merry merch for the 2023 year. And while you’re shopping for stocking stuffers, you might as well throw in your favorite Starbucks seasonal winter coffee or flavored creamer from your local grocery store.
I am so excited to announce that Starbucks is bringing the holidays back to stores in the U.S. on Nov. 2! Starbucks will be releasing four (yes, four!) new holiday hot cups to get customers in the holiday spirit. The new Peppermint Swirl, Bauble Wrap, Party Plaid and Ribbon Spool hot cup designs are sure to bring holiday joy.
“Starbucks red cups are like little wrapped gifts for our partners and customers,” said Kristy Cameron, creative director at Starbucks, in the company’s official press release. “My hope is that they feel excitement and joy when they see the cups and that they want to share them with family and friends.”
Each holiday cup features a gift tag to write notes or a seasonal statement you can share with your friends or on social media. This year’s holiday cups don’t stop at hot cups, though. The holiday cold cup features sparkles and even more baubles dressed in white.
Now, let’s talk menu specifics. Some of our favorite holiday drinks are back, including the Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brulée Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte, and Iced Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte. If you’re like me and drink iced coffee during all seasons, the new Iced Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai will be your new holiday coffee fix. Even though the new Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai is iced, it will surely bring warmth to your soul. If your local Starbs is one of the locations that serve Oleato beverages, you can also try the new Oleato Gingerbread Oatmilk Latte with Partanna extra virgin olive oil.
Holiday drinks won’t be the only thing bringing joy to your life this year. Starbucks customers can enjoy all their favorite holiday treats including the Cranberry Bliss Bar, Gingerbread Loaf, Peppermint Brownie Cake Pop, Snowman Cookie, and Sugar Plum Cheese Danish.
Not only will Starbucks fans be able to find their preferred holiday coffee and creamer in your local grocery store aisles, but they will also be able to purchase entirely new limited-edition holiday merch. The holiday coffee and creamer is limited while supplies last in many warm holiday flavors such as Starbucks® Holiday Blend Coffee, Starbucks® Peppermint Mocha Iced Espresso, and Starbucks® Gingerbread Flavored Coffee.
And if you’re lucky enough to visit one of the Starbucks Reserve Roasteries in New York, Chicago, or Seattle this holiday season, make sure to try the exclusive new menu additions! This includes a Peppermint Mocha Espresso Martini, Starbucks Reserve Peppermint Mocha, and Starbucks Oleato Whiskey Barrel-Aged Cold Brew. While you’re there, you have to get the full experience by trying an assortment of seasonal baked goods like the Princi Chocolate Hazelnut Swirl Cake, Pistachio Maritozzo, Apple Crumb Pie, and Cranberry Cheese Danish.
Each roastery location is stocked with exclusive collections of merch and holiday gifts this year. The exclusive gift sets include The Holiday Moment Gift Set, The Mixologist Magic Gift Set, The Whiskey Barrel-Aged Cold Brew Coffee Gift Set, The Fa La La Gift Set, The Starbucks Reserve Roastery-Inspired Microblend Gift Sets (one for each of the three locations), The Starbucks Reserve Roastery City Gift Sets (one for each location), and even Starbucks Reserve Roastery City Crewneck Sweaters.
You can even experience the Starbucks magic by participating in a curated tasting group led by an expert barista. This holiday season, the ticketed Signature Experience will be the It Started Here First experience.
Most of the holiday flavors are limited to the holiday season, so make sure you get your hands on them before they’re gone! You never know if your favorite flavor will be back next year or not, so enjoy the little things while they last.
