I swear pickles have become the go-to snack item over the past few years. They’ve slowly become more prevalent in our everyday lives, and more and more inventive and crazy ways to incorporate pickles into a food item have popped up. I’ve seen everything from pickle ice cream to dill pickle flavored popcorn to pickle-flavored soda to pickle marshmallows to dill pickle cotton candy. Basically, pickles are everywhere, and it seems like the trend won’t be dying down anytime soon.Â
According to Food Business News, Vlasic is launching pickle chips. That’s right, pickle chips—crunchy chips made only from real pickles. The company behind some of the most popular pickle products has found a new way to incorporate pickles into our everyday lives, and you need to call your pickle-loving friends ASAP.Â

“Pickles has always been a flavor that people have loved in snacks, whether it’s potato chips or even in our Bigs Vlasic dill sunflower seeds,” Thomas M. McGough, who is the co-chief operating officer and executive vice president of Conagra Brands, Vlasic’s parent company, said in a statement. “But pickles themselves are a great snack, essentially no calories or carbs. But eating pickles out of a conventional jar is inconvenient and messy, and pickle snacks are actually becoming a thing, particularly in c-stores. So we’ve created Vlasic single-serve pickle slices and also a Vlasic vacuum-friend pickle chips that taste absolutely fantastic.”
The chips are basically “vacuum-fried,” thinly sliced pickles and packaged in snack-size bags. Bustle reports that these are similar to potato chips but with more tang like a brined cucumber. Â
According to Food Business News, the items are “still in development” and has no set release date, but the photo is enough to get us all hyped about it. So, Vlasic, you need to hurry up because we are all impatiently waiting.Â
