True Crime Fans, Unite, Because This Wine Train Lets You Solve A Murder Mystery

All aboard, True Crime fans! There’s a train where you can solve a murder mystery while drinking plenty of chardonnay.

In collaboration with The Murder Mystery Co., the Napa Valley Wine Train will launch on Saturday, April 13 a three-hour wine tour in which guests will try and solve a 1920’s-themed murder mystery. Similar to other murder mystery parties, passengers will work together and gather clues to solve the mystery before the murderer escapes.

“With jealous, jilted lovers, a rival Mafioso, and a pair of undercover feds on board, our vintage train is transformed into a stylish speakeasy…and a mysterious crime scene,” the Wine Train website describes.

Plus, you get to dress up in 1920’s clothing! “Tap into your inner 1920s prohibition-era legend. Tassel skirts, pinstripe suits, and feather boas. Sequin headbands, elbow-length gloves, and fedoras,” the website says.

As you search for answers, guests will be served a multi-course meal by Executive Chef Donald Young, Travel and Leisure reports. The menu features warm soups, goat cheese salads, beef tenderloin, gemelli pasta, and lemon thyme roasted chicken. According to Delish, the chef will make a new dessert for each trip. The wine will also come from the vineyards along the train’s tracks.

The Murder Mystery Train tours will run on select Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays between April 13 and November 9. So if you want to hop on, you’ll have to reserve a spot soon. Tickets start at $216 per person, and wine may come at an additional cost.
