When Does Stanley Release New Cup Colors? We Got The Scoop

Sipping beverages hasn’t been the same after the rise of the Stanley cup. Although it takes many forms, the 40-ounce H2.0 Tumbler reigns supreme as the go-to reusable cup for all ages. From the double insulation that keeps drinks ice cold to the convenient handle that serves as a perfect place for charms and keys, I definitely see why everyone wants to collect all the Stanley cup colors like Pokémon cards. But you’re probably wondering, when does Stanley release new cup colors?

There are so many color options for the Stanley cup. If you’re in your coquette era, you might gravitate towards a pastel pink. During the fall, earthy-toned Stanley’s are widely popular. On the other hand, you may just be looking for a basic color to customize your cup with your name or sorority letters. But generally speaking, there’s a Stanley color for all aesthetics.

For my collectors out there, I know you’re wondering when Stanley releases their new color options, so you can plan when to camp outside Target. But, the Stanley cup new color releases aren’t what you may expect. According to the Stanley team, larger color drops that take place throughout the year align with the brand’s seasonal narrative, but they don’t happen on any specific schedule. The brand likes surprising buyers with seasonal bursts of limited-edition colorways and retailer exclusive collections, too.

This explains why stores such as Whole Foods and Dick’s Sporting Goods have collections specific to them. This also explains why Target was the only retailer with the Valentine’s Day cups.

Stanley also tells Her Campus they released their 2024 core colorways with classic colors such as the Rose Quartz, Cream, and Black with the new additions of Stone and Ash. These colors aren’t necessarily limited edition and they stay in the brand’s regular rotation, so you shouldn’t have trouble finding them unless they get swiped off the shelves.

With limited-edition drops such as the Lunar New Year tumbler (which sold out immediately), it’s best to just consider whether or not Stanley will have a cup that matches the holiday that you might like to buy, and stay tuned to their social media accounts for any updates.

So when does Stanley release their new colors? I have good and bad news — it’s hard to tell. Stanley doesn’t have an exact schedule for their releases to maintain that element of surprise. According to Stanley’s team, they plan on introducing more colors and collections over the next few months with no date at this time. While we wait, the best thing to do is to follow Stanley on all social media platforms and sign up for their newsletter located on their website to be the first to know when the time comes!
