Today, Taryn Leigh Bond, a Tropical Astrologer who offers readings and teaches people how to read birth charts, shares which three signs you can count on to show up late, but in a cute and powerful way.
There are few things more awkward than being the first person to arrive at an event. Whether it’s a birthday party, group dinner plans, or even class, there’s something so uncomfortable about showing up first. And while most of us tend to opt to arrive right on time, there are some people who arrive on the opposite end of things — late.
Let’s get one thing straight: There is a world of difference between being simply late, and mastering the art of being fashionably late. When someone is fashionably late, they’re late enough to give the vibe that they were mysteriously busy, or had other, cooler things to do beforehand. Lunch in Paris? Dinner in Milan? Can’t even be mad about waiting 30 minutes for them to show up, they’re just cooler than you, and they want you to know that. Sorry ‘bout it!

SAGITTARIUS:
It’s no secret that fire signs have a thing for attention — I mean, making an entrance. So, it makes sense that you can count on the Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius to show up at least 15 minutes late to steal the show.
“Sagittarius is all about the extra because they’re ruled by the planet of higher meaning and expansion and excess,” astrologer Taryn Leigh Bond tells Her Campus. “There’s no reason to show up at the right time if there’s other things that need to be taken care of or appearances that need to be made.” With a late entrance, all of the attention will be on Sagittarius, and there’s something powerful about that.
SCORPIO:
Are we even surprised that the most mysterious sign of the zodiac made the list? Scorpios are known for their brooding and secretive personality, but even moreso, they’re some of the most powerful people you’ll meet.
Bond says, “Scorpio is ruled by Pluto and Mars, so they’re all about the power moves. They may claim accidental lateness, but are more likely than most to have planned to show up late. AQUARIUS:
Finally, the free-spirited, air-ruled Aquarius is a fan of breaking the mold. And yes, that can even include showing up purposefully late.
“Ruled by Uranus and Saturn, Aquarius will show up to the event, but they often won’t do it according to the generally-agreed upon time,” Bond says. “Their lateness is often a testament to their opinion that the scheduled time was not, in fact, the best time. However, if they want to be on time, they will show up on the dot.
