In the wake of the financial crisis in 2009, Her Campus Media was born. After winning a business plan competition at Harvard, we launched our company and have been building it ever since. Winning allowed us to bring our own dreams to life, and since then we’ve dreamed of the day where we would launch our own competition for the Her Campus community.
Enter the Aussie Business Plan Competition, a program that will pay it forward and show the class of 2020 (and students everywhere) that you can make your dreams a reality, no matter what’s going on in the world.Â
Here’s how it works: All students in the United States are eligible to apply, and 20 students and graduates will be crowned as our first class of Roo Crew Fellows. Judged on innovation, creativity, and passion, finalists will receive a two-month fellowship with access to weekly digital educational programs, a $1,000 cash prize to advance their business, and the opportunity to present their businesses to Her Campus and P&G Executives.
Of the 20 businesses selected, five winners will be chosen to receive additional resources to empower them to take their businesses to the next level. These five winners will receive direct mentorship from a Her Campus Media co-founder, will be sent on an all-expenses-paid trip to P&G Headquarters,* and will be granted a $5,000 prize to advance their business.
