With all the commotion going on regarding the most controversial election in history, aka the one we are all still living through, it is no surprise that people are looking to the First Lady of the United States of America for guidance. I mean, who wouldn’t want Michelle Obama to be the first Madame President?
Well, apparently President Obama has heard our cry and has some ~words~ for us that may or may not break our hearts. Ok fine, they will break our hearts. According to Cosmopolitan, in an interview with Rolling Stone, the President was straight up asked if “Michelle should run for office” and unfortunately, his answer was not what we were hoping.
“Michelle will never run for office. She is as talented a person as I know. You can see the incredible resonance she has with the American people. But I joke that she’s too sensible to want to be in politics”, he said, as a tear rolled down our cheek.
But although there will not be another President Obama just yet, this is not the last you will see of them. When asked what is going to do after Trump takes over, he said that “I’m gonna sleep for a couple of weeks when I get out of here, take my wife on a well-deserved vacation” and then he will “spend time in my first year out of office writing a book, and I’m gonna be organizing my presidential center, which is gonna be focused on precisely this issue of how do we train and empower the next generation of leadership.”
And we have no doubt that he is going to do just that.
