Shortly after Cynthia Nixon announced her campaign for New York’s Governor, the former Sex and the City (SATC) star faced some ad hominem-riddled scrutiny from fellow New York politicians. After former City council Speaker Christine Quinn called Nixon an “unqualified lesbian,” she used that pejorative to market her campaign with some necessary merchandise. Now, Nixon is literally re-outfitting her merchandise with some SATC-themed apparel that we didn’t know we needed until now.
According to The Cut, Nixon announced her merchandise makeover on Tuesday via her Twitter account. “Are you a Miranda voting for Cynthia? In honor of #SATC20, here’s a line of Miranda merchandise designed by the team behind the “Every Outfit on Sex and the City” Instagram account… because, well, we should all be Mirandas who vote for Cynthia,” Nixon tweets.

As Fox News notes, Nixon launched her merch just in time for the iconic SATC 20-year anniversary. If the Miranda Hobbes in your life needs an actual shirt to hon their unabashed Miranda-ness, then it might be difficult for them to decide between the “I’m a Miranda and I’m voting for Cynthia” design and the “I’m a Miranda Governor” hat.
Beyond these quirky, nostalgia-induced apparel slogans, Nixon’s campaign store also offers an empowering t-shirt for any aspiring young lawmaker. The toddler version of these t-shirts includes a message that reads, “I’m a Miranda Future Governor of New York.” Granted, any Governor-hopeful can be a Miranda and a future Governor.
Glamour adds that the new additions to Nixon’s campaign-affiliated collection range from $28 to $38.
Honestly, we hope that if Cynthia Nixon wins the Governor seat in the New York gubernatorial election her branding and marketing teams continue to produce Miranda-approved merch. Seriously, the funding from these products could help subsidize New York’s subway system.
