1.     The Tartan Trend.

This (ever ongoing) winter let your inner Scottish warrior strut her stuff down the Aberdeen high street. Tartan is appearing everywhere again! In tartan pleated skirts, dresses and capes. If you’re wearing a short sleeved tartan dress why not brighten it up with a long sleeved white top underneath. This pleated skirt from Topshop reminds me of the good old clueless days but why not go with it. It might have been a while since you have been at school but we have no rules and regulations anymore! Pair it with a fluffy cardigan and some cute little Mary Janes.

2.     The Biker Jacket

As the temperatures fail to rise it is still time to rock the warmer layers. But this can be hard when wanting to stay on trend and not look frumpy. Well this season has brought back the good old Biker jacket. These kinds of jackets are a great investment. They always come back   every other year and are great for nights our or wanting to look casual. So bring out your inner rock god and spice it up this wintery season.

3.     Chunky Heels

Shoes this season have finally got comfortable! No longer do we have to try to walk on the obstacle course of Aberdeen’s cobbled streets in thin heels. Someone call 999 as fashion is causing me to nearly break my neck- Well No More! The wider heel will provides you with more stability and in my opinion are more of a statement piece.

4.     It’s all about the eyebrow

This has been on trend for some while now but I’m seeing it everywhere I go.  This particular cosmetic trend is a great statement piece to add to your make-up collection. Especially, if you’re going with an al-natural, glamour look. I swear by the benefit brow shaping kit. It comes with all the tools you need for statement smooth eyebrows.

5.     Satchel bags

Again, this is still within the trend, however, with more variety. The trend of big handbags is gradually losing its position giving way for the medium. The satchel form may still be around but fashion experts have spiced it up. They are coming in forms of reptile skin interpretations, paisley print variants and even coming in knitted colours. So if you’re going for the classic black little dress and tights look why not brighten it up with a colourful and textured satchel.
