All Hail People’s Choice Winner Matt Bellassai

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Aberdeen chapter.

I don’t want to overstate or overhype Matt Bellassai, so all I’ll say is that he is the greatest gift that God has ever given to humanity.

He’s cute, he’s funny, and he drinks wine to the point where everybody is actually a bit concerned. A writer for Buzzfeed and a Twitter hero, Matt has recently found internet fame (and a People’s Choice Award for Favourite Social Media Star along the way) with his weekly video series ‘Wine About It’. With new videos uploaded every Wednesday, Bellassai has managed to amass a loyal and diverse army of fans who comment, share and like all of his offerings upwards of 50,000 times. If you haven’t joined the Matt Bellassai appreciation society yet, then prepare to be initiated…

1)    He knows that every paycheck is just an investment in your future happiness.

2)    Matt Bellasai speaks for the people.

3) Matt knows that not every party is worth £5.99 in cheap wine for pre’s.

4) The man ain’t wrong…

5) He’s relatable

6) Even though he’s a celebrity he keeps it real on public transport.

7) Matt Bellassai gets involved in politics… Here he is dressed as Republican frontrunner (and international laughing stock) Donald Trump.

8) He knows that no greater hell exists than the first gym sesh after the holidays.

9) He has his priorities straight.

10) Matt knows the power of carbs.

11) He knows that he’s a star.

12) Matt Bellassai knows that getting out of bed is no mean feat.

13) There are alternatives to running.

14) Lord knows we’ve all been Matt…

15) Mr Bellassai knows his limits.

16) And finally, Matt Bellassai wants you to make like Justin Bieber and Love Yourself.
