Welcome back, collegiettes! I hope you had a wonderful winter break and got the relaxation you deserved.  Classes are back in session and let’s be real here, our sleeping schedules are messed up! I know mine definitely is.  After a month of not having to wake up super early, getting back into the swing of things can be hard (especially if you’re like me and have an 8am…gross!)

Fear not! I am here to show you 5 lazy day outfit tips that don’t look so lazy.  Now you can sleep in a little longer…you’re welcome!

1. Cardigans are lifesavers

Make any outfit look better with a cardigan! It can be a long one, a chunky one, any kind you want.  If you want to dress it up, you can pair a bright colored cardigan with a neutral shirt.  Throw on a pair of jeans or leggings (because leggings are life) and some boots and you’re good to go!

2. School pride

IMO one of the best things about college is the school sweatshirts.  They work perfectly with lazy day outfits too! Put on your school’s sweatshirt, some jeans or leggings and your shoe of choice and ta-da! This is perfect for #AUWearitWednesdays, Panthers ;)

3. Dress for the gym

A great life hack for getting dressed on a lazy day is to wear workout clothes. Since you’re dressed for the gym, people won’t think you’re lazy – oh, the contrary! It’s super simple too.  You can wear a sweatshirt or shirt, workout leggings and some cute gym shoes! Maybe you’ll even be tempted to go to the gym.

4. Joggers > Sweatpants

Sometimes we just feel like throwing on some comfy pants. Wait, stop right there.  Put those sweatpants down.  The answer is joggers.  They’re super comfortable like normal sweatpants, but the tapered look make any outfit chic.

Want an edgier look? Try a black shirt, gray joggers, and black shoes!

5. Oversized shirts are key

Need I say more? Oversized shirts or tunics plus leggings are the ideal lazy day outfit.  You don’t know how many times I wore different variations of this outfit and actually got compliments. What?!

Want to dress it up a little? Add a statement necklace if you’d like. This outfit works for whichever look you’re going for- casual or not.

There you have it! I hope this helped you get a little more sleep.  5 minutes are 5 minutes right? Unti next time!

Bonus tip: Don’t feel like doing your hair? Hats are your best friend, especially now that it’s winter.Â
