Remember the first day of classes when the syllabus was handed out with all the readings listed on it. You freaked out a bit when your professors told you they would come up on the final, but you told yourself you’ll just start reading them around November. Soo it’s near the end of the semester and it’s finals week….have you read any of them? Probably not, but that’s okay. Whether it’s a calc or a dance final, we know you’re going to be a beast on them. How do we know this? Because you’re a Boss B*tch and we have just the right guide that will have you slay finals week.
Â
Plan ahead: Start planning what days, times and where and what you’ll be studying. Plan accordingly to the days your finals are on. If you’ve been doing well in spanish and are more nervous about your philosophy final, then try to dedicate more time to studying for that. Put your calendar app to good use and find out how much time you really have to study for your finals. Your friends will think you’ve been preparing all semester long and will be so nagging you to share your time management skills.
Â
Find your study spot: If you decide to study in the library, mark your territory. The library during finals week can look like a silent zoo itself. Everyone looks like a stressed out barbarian especially when they’re looking for the best spot to study in. Scout out for quiet areas in the library where you know they’ll be no distractions and make sure you claim that spot like it’s your throne.
Â
Get that coffee intake: Before you start to dig for those papers you thought you’ll never need, you need to make a stop at the “starbucks” in the underground cafe. Make coffee your bae because you’re seriously going to need it. If you’re a mega boss b*tch then you’re probably going to have your friends bring it to you. As long as it gets to you, we’re moving in the right direction.
Â
AND.. BREAK! All Boss B*tches need breaks and after those long hours of staring at your notes all while trying to get blank space out of your head, you’re going to definitely need one. Cramming so much information into your head is never the way to go. Look at what you’re reading and ask yourself do I understand what this is saying? (Of course you do, duh) Once you’ve gotten something new drilled into your head, take a small break to eat a light snack and then go back to your materials. Try to repeat this more than once during your study sessions.
Â
Get a lot of sleep! Usually most people associate finals week with sleepless nights, and this is a major NO NO! As a Boss B*tch, you should not only be getting your beauty sleep so you can wake up flawless, but also to put that hard working brain to rest. Not getting a proficient amount of sleep can affect you negatively, and hurt your scores when it comes to finals. Â The best way to avoid being tired and groggy for your exam is to simply get at least 8 hours of sleep. Â Being well rested will increase your brainpower and help you reach success.
Â
De-stress: Don’t drive yourself too cray over these finals. You’ve been working so hard this semester and this one final grade doesn’t define what kind of a student you’ve been all semester long. Therefore, breathe, take it easy, and relax. Watch an episode of  American Horror Story, do some Yoga, or call up a friend or family member for a quick de-stressing chat.
Â
Be positive. One of the most important things you need going into an exam is your confidence. Staying positive will help you think and perform better. Even if you have a little doubt, putting on a smile and telling yourself that you will ace the exam, will work wonders. Remind yourself that after each exam, you’re one step closer to Christmas!
We wish you Collegiettes, or shall we say Boss B*tches, the best of luck with all your final exams. We have faith that you’ll own finals week and ace them all! If you need a little more motivation, here’s Ryan Gosling.
