It’s finally that time of year again! With Halloween right around the corner, everyone is getting their last-minute bags of candy, decorations, and costumes for this year. However, if you are anything like me, you still haven’t decided on a costume yet. Finding that perfect costume can be a struggle, especially when you have no idea what you even want to go as. To make your lives a whole lot easier, I’ve come up with a top ten list of popular costumes for this year:

Wonder Woman
After the release of the movie this summer, everyone is deciding to go as Wonder Woman. This costume has grown popular for both adults and children and varies in styles from the typical Wonder Woman outfit to her outfit back when she was in Themyscira with the rest of the Amazons. This DC heroine is sure to make the perfect costume.
2. Harley Quinn
Even though “Suicide Squad” was released last year, Harley fever hasn’t died out yet. Last year, the Harley Quinn costume was extremely popular throughout the whole country and still remains popular this year. The public isn’t ready to forget about her just yet. Similar to that of Wonder Woman, this costume varies in styles as well. Her outfits range from her costume in “Suicide Squad” to her original costume seen in, “Batman, The Animated Series.”
3. Pennywise the Dancing Clown
After the release of “It” this past September, clowns have taken over. Clown costumes have always been a popular Halloween costume, but now the trend has been brought back thanks to Pennywise. Stay away from sewers this Halloween because you’ll never know what kind of creature is lurking in them,
4. Eleven From Stranger Things
Netflix is releasing the new season of “Stranger Things” this October and in celebration of this release, the Eleven Halloween costume has become a huge hit. This costume is perfect if you are looking for a simpler, yet comfortable costume. From the simple pink dress Eleven wears to the comfortable sneakers, this costume makes trick-or-treating less tiring. In the show, Eleven has a fascination with Eggo, so carrying Eggo boxes could enhance your costume just in case people are unsure of what you are dressed up as for Halloween.
5. Tina From Bob’s Burgers
The hit show “Bob’s Burgers” has inspired many costume ideas, and of those ideas, the Tina costume became popular. Even those who don’t watch the show are able to recognize who Tina is by her distinct choice of fashion. This, “Strong, smart sensual woman,” is exactly who you want to be for Halloween if you want to dress more comfortably.
6. Daenerys Targaryen
This beautiful blue dress is worn by the one and only, mother of the dragons, Daenerys Targaryen. Fans of this binge-worthy show will love dressing up as her this Halloween. Who wants to dress up as a princess when you could be the Queen of the Andals and the First Men.
7. Zombie
A costume that hasn’t gone out of style is a zombie. Recently, girls have used the excuse of being a zombie for Halloween to practice new makeup techniques that bring their costume to life. Even if you don’t know anything about makeup, there are many tutorials all over Youtube that give you step-by-step instructions on creating the perfect zombie look.
8. Black Widow
This heroine is a part of the Avengers and has fought her way to the top ten list. Black Widow was first seen in the movie, “Iron Man 2” and has made continuous appearances in both “Iron Man” and Marvel’s “Avengers.” In these movies, she is formally known as Natasha Romanoff when she is not off fighting crime. Black Widow is the perfect costume for you if you want to do a Marvel based Halloween costume.
9. Belle
The animated film came to life early spring this year. Emma Watson played Belle and was able to depict every little girl’s favorite princess. Like many of the costumes listed above, Belle also has a variety of costumes starting from the traditional yellow ball gown to the blue dress she wears the majority of the movie. This costume could also work well for couples, after call every beauty needs her beast.
10. Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf
Everyone remembers being read, “The Little Red Riding Hood” as a bedtime story when they were younger. She is considered another classic costume that is still a favorite amongst both children and adults. Some like myself even dress their dog up as the wolf in disguise as the granny. Watch out this Halloween because the big bad wolf and his partner in crime have left the woods and are out roaming the streets.
