You’d be surprised how many alumnae have come back to work at Agnes Scott (or never left). Agnes Scott is home to many people and is one of the most special places in the world. Who wouldn’t want to work here? One of these amazing alumna Scotties is Aimee Kahn-Foss. She is someone who truly embodies the Scottie spirit and mindset. Upon meeting her and getting to know her, she is an inspiration and a role-model. If you know her, you know she lights up a room and can get anyone to want to come to Agnes Scott.
Aimee is on the left.

HC: What is your favorite and least favorite Evan’s food?
Aimee: Favorite- I love the chocolate chip cookies and Fried Chicken Wednesdays!
Least- Cheesecake brownies (I just never eat them, but I know others love them)
HC: Why did you choose to attend Agnes Scott?
Aimee: I chose Agnes Scott because it was totally different than what I thought college was supposed to be like. I was drawn to Agnes Scott for the opportunities to study abroad, the location and beautiful campus, and the chance to continue playing the sport I love at the collegiate level. I am so glad that I took the risk to do something different. I’m proud of the student and person I became through attending Agnes Scott.
HC: What made you choose to work at Agnes Scott?
Aimee: I feel a great sense of pride in helping to care for an institution that means so much to me, and I love playing a small role in someone’s decision to attend Agnes Scott. Since I have worked in the Admission Office for several years, I get to see students I recruited graduate from the college and go on to do amazing things.
HC: What is your greatest memory at Agnes?
Aimee: As a student, I scored the game-winning goal which helped the soccer team beat Rhodes College my senior year. It was the first time an Agnes Scott team beat a nationally ranked opponent and it felt SO GOOD!
As staff, I attended my first Atlanta PRIDE Parade about 4 or 5 years ago and seeing the strong support from Agnes Scott there. I was a very proud Scottie that day. Â
HC: What is your favorite place to eat in Decatur/Atlanta?
Aimee: Right now I am really into Dish Dive and Chai Pani in Decatur. I also love getting sandwiches from Candler Park Market and coffee at Dr. Bombay’s Underwater Tea Party. #RIPYogurtTap
HC: If you had one piece of advice for an Agnes student, what would that be?
Aimee: You won’t get this time or experience back. You won’t have another chance to do the Hubert Scholars program or take the Holocaust course with Professor Kennedy (two things I didn’t do as a student that I regret). There’s no Black Cat after college and you’ll never again have so many people you love and admire under one roof. Try your best to soak it up.
HC: What is the biggest change you’ve seen at Agnes?
Aimee: Launching SUMMIT has definitely been the biggest change I’ve experienced in my 10+ years on campus. I want to go on a Journeys trip so badly!
HC: If you didn’t work at Agnes Scott, what would you do?
Aimee: I would like to be the Oprah of college scholarships… “You get a scholarship! And you get a scholarship!” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmCQ-V7c7Bc
HC: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Aimee: I love to travel! In fact, I left Agnes Scott a couple years ago and spent five glorious months traveling in Southeast Asia. It was the experience of a lifetime and I’m so happy I found the courage to do it. Right now I’m planning a trip to Guatemala to visit an Agnes Scott friend.
HC: If you were a character from a movie/TVshow, who would you be?
Aimee:  Well, I currently live with three male roommates so I like to joke that we’re a slightly less funny version of “New Girl.”
HC: If you could immediately acquire a new talent/skill, what would it be?
Aimee: I have always wanted to be in a band but I have no musical talent whatsoever…
