Sophomore ring ceremony is one of the most cherished traditions at Agnes Scott. Each spring semester, the sophomore class is provided with a beautiful ceremony signifying their commitment to their undergraduate years at Agnes Scott College. Every Scottie who is inducted becomes a part of the exclusive Black Ring Mafia. Whether you want your hand to be glammed out or if you just want it to look decent enough to be accepted in a picture that will last for a long time, get some inspiration from these nail designs (in order from simple to more detailed).
Simple & Buffed
Not into all the crazy colors and fancy designs? No worries. Have your nails nice and polished with just a clear coat or two after you’ve shaped them up and you’re all set.
Classic French Tips
You may want a bit more of an edge with your buffed out nails. If a french manicure is to your liking, you can’t go wrong with getting them. Plus, you can spice them up even more by getting the tip in a different color–dare to be different.
Black & Basic
If you’re into darker colors, go for a black coat! It will help accentuate the black onyx in your ring even more.
Deep Burgundy Red
February is still within the couple of months of the holiday season. If you’re still feeling the spirit, go for a burgundy red! It won’t be as bright as the Christmas red, and it will go with the evening mood. Additionally, the ceremony is just around the corner from  Valentine’s Day, so you’ll be able to knock two birds with one stone for both occasions.
ASC Purple
If you consider yourself to be an especially proud Scottie, why not have your nails coordinate with ASC colors? You could even throw in some gold accents to top it off.
Scottie Dog Pride
This is for the ultimate Scottie. What’s a more adorable and spirited way to show off your ring? You can find these stickers at etsy.com.
Glitzed & Glammed
Your ring doesn’t have to be the only thing on your hand with bling! Give your nails some extra glam and shine by adding jewels and gems. A helpful tip: It would probably be best to have them match whatever ring type you get so that the different colors won’t clash.
Sophomore Ring Ceremony will be here before you know it! If you had any concerns before, hopefully reading this article will have at least sparked some ideas before the big day.
