Impacting your community with volunteer work has never been easier thanks to Scotties Serve. Agnes Scott has included a fantastic resource for all students to access that makes searching for and selecting volunteer or community impact opportunities simple with the clock of a few buttons.

Scotties Serve is our school’s resource for connecting students with service opportunities on local and national levels. The website allows students to easily record hours they completed and with what organization.

The volunteer opportunities range from youth mentoring, hospice care, forest restoration, building and construction, and much more. There are events for everyone’s interest and experience levels.

Currently 965 people have created 1,902 impacts and completed 15,793 Hours. The dedication from students to commit service hours to their community is not only helpful to required service hours but also long term. The leadership skills and knowledge gained while participating in these opportunities are definitely beneficial to a plethora of future endeavors.

Best of all, students who complete at least 10 hours for a semester semester will be named to the President’s Community Engagement Honor Roll and will receive a certificate. Students who complete at least 20 hours for a semester will be recognized at a reception hosted by The Center for Leadership and Service. And lastly, students who complete at least 200 hours during their time at Agnes will be eligible to receive a graduation cord! What an incentive!

Make sure to check out the website if you’re a Scottie and interested in gaining quality volunteer experiences.
