For the sixth year in a row, Agnes Scott was graced by Affinity’s annual Drag Show on Friday, March 29th. Affinity is an Agnes Scott student organization “dedicated to providing a safe and supportive space for queer people of color as well as advocating for the freedom of sexual and gender expression.”

The show was hosted by none other than the bold and badass Taylor Alxndr. Alxndr snatched our weaves, wigs, and edges with a runway performance to start out the night. Fittingly, one of her song choices included “Your Makeup is Terrible” by Alaska Thunderfuck.

Alxndr kept the audience entertained and high-spirited throughout the show. Aside from the kicks and giggles and clowning Anna and her table mates, she even went so far as to fix the sound system when it was malfunctioning. She didn’t finish her studies at Georgia State, but I would give her an honorary Agnes Scott degree for her 5-minutes of technological specialties.
And of course, there were the performers–six in total, all unique in style and stage presence.
Mystery Meat

Mystery Meat gave the crowd throwback classic jams with killer moves. He made sure to continue to engage the crowd during his second performance when he pulled out his air guitar (not pictured here). It was no question that his presence left us fulfilled and wanting more!
Polly Nation

What more could we need with a floral-inspired outfit? Polly Nation collected her coins with a stunning performance. This hair honey, in my opinion, stole the performance!
JayBella Bankz

Ms. Jaybella Bankz, a.k.a. the “Twerk Queen of Atlanta” was a personal favorite of mine! She kept the crowd captivated by her confident struts and outrageous stunts. I concluded that I actually didn’t know how to twerk as well as I thought after the real queen showed us how it was done.
Perk-A-$exx

As the first performer of the night, Perk-A-$exx left his mark with the confetti explosion that wowed the crowd! He came in with some pop songs that everyone was sure to follow along with. Oh yeah, and he did this and another performance with a sprained ankle…level up bitches.
Avana Alxndr

It was no coincidence that Avana and Taylor shared a last name because the crowd always went crazy for her like she was the HBIC! And do you peep the shoes? I don’t know of any other person who could have hit those swift and precise moves better than Avana on this night!
Dotte Comm

Ms. Dotte Comm suspensefully pulled us in with a beautiful ballad. What was even more captivating, at least for me, was her eye-catching make-up. The dramatic large eye kept my eyes locked on her the entire time!

This ASC student showed up to show out! Giving us some showgirl vibes with the feathered scarf, we were fully engaged in her fun and vibrant show. Looks like future alums have some high standards to live up to.
