Check out these podcasts that any college student could find interest in!
In the dark:Â Investigative reporter, Madeleine Baren, and her team go to cities and investigate crimes and cases where it is suspected that someone was wrongly convicted of a crime. They bring in experts, witnesses, police officials, and family members to speak on behalf of the victims and the suspects, all the while trying to figure out what really happened. On the latest season, they investigated the case of Curtis Flowers who has been tried and convicted for the same murder case six times. All of the evidence presented seemed to show that Curtis was not the killer, yet he still sits on death row waiting for his next appeal.
Potterless: Â This podcast is about Mike who has never read the Harry Potter books, ever. In this podcast, he sits down and reads through them while inviting HP fans to come in and talk about the books, make fun of holes in the plot, make really bad predictions and enjoy the books. This comedic podcast is great for all the Potter fans out there.
Guys we f**cked: The Anti-Slut shaming podcast: This raunchy, and at times cringy, podcast of two girls tries to empower women to talk about their sex lives by telling funny stories of countless one-night stands, funny encounters, and countless “walks of shame” that they themselves have experienced. This podcast helps to normalize women’s sexual lives in hopes of reducing the stigma around females owning their bodies and using their bodies to do whatever they want.
Unladylike: Cristen Conger and Caroline Ervin talk about all of the women who have broken the rules. They invite on guests to talk about all of the stereotypical “unladylike” things that women have been told for generations and generations not to do. This podcast’s smash the patriarchy mindset is for the extreme feminism in you.
Those Conspiracy Guys  This one is kind of self- explanatory: a few Irish comedians sit down and talk about all the conspiracy theories you can think of from 9/11 to aliens to the Mandela Effect and much, much more. If you are starting from the beginning the audio is very bad, but I promise it gets better. If you’re a conspiracy theorist buff like myself I definitely recommend!
