Craving Some Candy

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Alabama chapter.

Getting healthy as become my project of the semester. It’s also become quite difficult. Especially given that I gave up sugar/sweets for Lent. And then Nationals sent us a present: Crystal Light candy. Yes you read that right, Crystal Light candy! Tastes just like the powdered drink mix, except in hard candy form! It was like my prayers for an inexpensive, low cal candy were answered. You can have FOUR pieces for just twenty five calories. How can a candy be that low cal you ask? Well, they are sweetened with Splenda, so they are a great sugar free alternative!

With a price point around $1.25 for a pack of about 24 candies, it’s a match made in heaven. Oh, did I mention they come in two different favor combination packs? Assorted fruit (my fave) and lemonade. Both taste great and will give you that perfect candy fix. Even when counting your calories like me.

So this all sounds pretty sweet, doesn’t it? Yeah, it gets even better. HCA isn’t the only ones trying to get healthier for summer….Nationals is sponsoring, in conjugation with Crystal Light of course, LIGHTen UP! A sweepstakes where one lucky winner will receive a $500 gift certificate to Walmart and assorted Crystal Light goodies! All you have to do is enter, no purchase necessary. (Complete rules found here)

Deal gets even sweeter…HCA has TONS of candies to give away! Look for them around campus in the coming weeks, because I can promise these won’t last long. (Our bowl at the fashion show was gone in almost sixty seconds!) Know of a great place we really should put the candies? Comment below, tweet us or facebook us. Your wish is our command.
