Do you ever wake up after a long night out wondering why you feel so hungover? You might feel this way because you didn’t prepare your body. Properly preparing your body for a night out by following these simple tricks can help prevent the gross feelings of fatigue and dehydration that come with a hangover.

Proper hydration is key when preventing a hangover. Alcohol is dehydrating, so drinking lots of water well beforehand is super important. A good rule to follow is to drink one glass of water for every alcoholic drink you have. Doing this can help prevent morning headaches, dizziness, and fatigue. For an extra boost of hydration, try an electrolyte solution like Liquid I.V.!

The next trick to preventing a hangover is eating the right meal! A balanced meal of carbs and protein is the safest way to fuel your body for a long night on the town! I recommend baked chicken and pasta with a little butter, parmesan, and pepper. It’s so easy, filling and delicious!

The last trick is focused on your skin. Nothing is worse than waking up with a full face of makeup from the night before and a fresh acne breakout. Although proper skin care is not always the first thing on a drunk person’s mind, leaving your makeup remover on your bedside table can be an easy way for your drunk self to prevent next-day-breakouts. I recommend something that will remove makeup and cleanse the skin like micellar water!

Going out for drinks with the girls is fun, but the feelings of fatigue and dehydration the next day are the furthest thing from enjoyable. Hangovers are never fun, but they are preventable. Following even one of these steps can help you feel much better the morning after.
