Madison Leavelle

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Alabama chapter.

Name: Madison Leavelle
Major: I’m double majoring in Dance and Graphic Design
Year: Junior
Relationship Status: Single. Boys… Call me.
Hometown:  Born and raised in Tuscaloosa
Interests: Hmmm. Where to start? I dance, I draw, I play the guitar AND ukulele, oh, and I have a very unhealthy obsession with Harry Potter
An Interesting Fact: You know those super cheesy “Bama Girl” shirts? Yeah. I design those now. Best job ever.
Greek Affiliation:  “Delta Delta Delta can I help ya- help ya- help ya?”
What song on your iPod is on repeat? My newest obsession is “Somebody That I Use to Know” by Gotye.  The music video is the bomb.com. Everyone needs to watch it.
If people were to give you a superlative, what do you think it would be?  “Madison Leavelle is the most beautiful creature to have ever graced this Earth.”
What is something people would be surprised to know about you?  People who already know me will not surprised by this, but I got to be my high school’s mascot my senior year. His name was ‘Mick Jaguar.’  Funny story, I got punched by Olympic Bronze medalist, Deontay Wilder during one of our football games.
What do you look for in a boy?  A fun personality. That’s my number one. Oh and eyes.  I have a thing for a guy’s with  beautiful, beautiful eyes.
What is the most confusing thing that boys do? Boys are boys. That’s confusing enough.
Do you have a favorite pickup line? If so, what is it?  This one is my favorite: “Excuse me miss, but are your eyes bothering you? Because… they’re bothering me.” Its so terrible that it kind of works.
What is your idea of a perfect date?  Something simple, casual, and down-to-earth. I prefer a night in, where the guy cooks a home-cooked meal, and we just sit there and chat and get to know one another. Its casual but still romantic.
What’s the craziest thing a boy has ever done for you?  Well there was this one time, where this one guy decided to come visit me while I was working on a paper in Gorgas. He had been to someone’s Tacky Christmas date party and was dressed in Sock Monkey onesie pajamas, a Santa Claus hat, and was sporting a handlebar mustache. Best part was that he walked all the way from the Strip dressed like that.
What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done for a boy?  Haven’t had the chance to do this one yet.
What is your best memory of Alabama/Tuscaloosa and why? Well since I’ve lived in Tuscaloosa my whole life, its kind of hard to narrow it down.  I think that all of the swaps I had freshman year were the most memorable for me.  My favorite part was coming up with the costumes to go along with the swap themes. My favorite was the “Winter Olympics” swap.  I went as a figure skater and wore the leotard and roller-bladed the whole night. Epic, to say the least.
If you could only bring 3 things on a deserted island, what would they be? I’d bring my best friends, my phone, and wireless internet.  Combine those together and you get an instant party.
What are your future goals? I just want to be successful in whatever I decide to do. Oh, and have as much fun as I possibly can, getting there.
