What clubs are you involved in? “I am a brother of Delta Tau Delta fraternity, and am involved with SGA and College Republicans on campus.”
What is your favorite part about your major? “I love the challenge that engineering classes provide. While I may not have been deeply interested all the courses that I have taken, the combined coursework has given me the mindset and methodology to be able to solve problems. A skill set that can be applied to situations far beyond what one might normally assign to an engineering major.”
What is the best part about being in a fraternity? “Having a tight-knit group of motivated and driven individuals gives you the resources and support to be able to make a positive impact on people around campus, whether it be philanthropy events or volunteer work.”
What was the coolest part about being a House of Representatives intern? “The House is a place where everyone shows up in a suit and tie, but the moment the clock rings to indicate they are out of session, people left and right are ripping of their ties and coming into work in jeans and a polo. The House is controlled chaos, and I loved every second of it.”
What are you passionate about? “Whether it be analyzing policy or programming an application, I love being faced with new challenges and working through problems. This summer I will be interning with Deloitte Consulting where I hope to use my passion to help government organizations operate more efficiently.”
What has been the best class you have taken at UA so far? “The most impactful class I have taken has to be the EN-310 study abroad class led by Karen Gardiner and Brooke Champagne. This “UA in Cuba: Freshman Writing Seminar” class entailed us traveling to Havana for a week and a half where we met and learned alongside Cuban students at the Universidad de San GerĂłnimo. It was an incredible opportunity to be able to listen and learn from students who have grown up in a vastly diffrent socio-politcal environment than me. It was on this trip that I had a realization of the real life consequences of US foreign policy and how big of an impact it can have on a society.”
Who is your celebrity crush? Erin Andrews
Describe your dream date. “I am pretty easy going guy so I am usually open to anything, though nothing beats a dinner on the Potomac and then walking around to see the monuments at night in DC.”
Describe yourself in three words. “Driven analytical learner.”
What do you like to do in your free time? “I like to go hiking/camping at least a couple times each semester. I enjoy traveling as well. I will find any excuse to explore new places.”
