10 Things Graduating Seniors Are Tired of Hearing

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Albany chapter.

We can’t wait to graduate! We’re almost there, but going to family functions and other events where we run into people that have watched us grow up is painful when you hear these ten things.

1. “Are You Looking For A Job?”

No, I’m going to sit in my parent’s house and live off of them and possibly rot.

2. “You’re Ready To Move Back Home?”

No, but I’m ready for you to get out of my face.

3. What Are You Going To Do With That Major?”

I’ll be making money and not asking a graduating senior what their plans are.

4. “You Better Make Sure You Enroll In A Graduate Program”

How about I do what I want?

5. You’re Going To Have To Start Thinking About Building A Family!”

Yeah! Mmm Hmm…How about NO!

6. “You Know That Doesn’t Pay Much, Right?”

It’s not really about the money for me, thank you.

7. “Where Do You See Yourself In Five Years?”

I don’t know where I see myself tomorrow!

8. “You’re Going To Miss College?”

I was trying to forget that, but thanks for the reminder.

9. “Everything Goes Downhill From Here.”

Is that supposed to make me feel good or…?

10. Everything Will Work Out.”

But, you just told me that it would go downhill…I’ll just try my best.

Family and friends, please stop!
