The Olympics may be over, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still obsess over the pair that won the U.S’s first-ever gold medal in ice dancing! Here’s some fun facts of the dynamic duo that is Meryl Davis and Charlie White.
1. Gold isn’t the only Olympic medals they have received. They also took home bronze in team figure skating in addition to having won silver in Vancouver in 2010 in ice dancing.
2. They are the longest-tenured U.S. ice dancing team, having been together since 1998. However they have known each other even longer having grown up in neighboring towns in Michigan.
3. Both are current students at the University of Michigan. Although Davis is 27 and White is 26 they haven’t been able to complete their undergraduate degrees due to their training schedules.
4. They may or may not have been compared to several different Disney characters…

5. They have talent outside of the ice rink… turns out Charlie White is a pretty gifted violinist as well as ice skater.
