The holiday season is here and chances are you have somewhere to travel. Here are three books you can sit down and enjoy on a plane, train or car ride.

  1. “Book Lovers” by Emily Henry

Emily Henry is the queen of the vacation read. “Book Lovers” is the perfect romance to take on a flight. In 373 pages, Henry’s story about an uptight literary agent and her mysteriously handsome colleague suddenly running into each other in small-town North Carolina will catch a reader’s attention for an entire flight. “Book Lovers” is a lighthearted book for those who need some much needed fun reading after finals.

  1. “The Last Thing He Told Me” by Laura Dave

“The Last Thing He Told Me” is a #1 New York Times bestseller and the ideal book for anyone interested in mysteries. The book follows Hannah Hall’s quest to find her missing husband after her husband suddenly goes missing. Hannah encounters friends and foes along her journey. Is Hannah’s husband really the man he said he was? You will have to read “The Last Thing He Told Me” to find out.

  1. “Normal People” by Sally Rooney

If you frequent BookTok or have walked into a bookstore within the last four years, chances are you’ve encountered this novel. “Normal People” is popular and for good reasons. Rooney’s complex characters come together for a cohesive situationship and a gut-wrenching romance. “Normal People” is a mere 287 pages, so take this book on your train ride home or your flight to your holiday destination.

Hopefully you can find one of these books at a bookstore or library near you!

Hannah is a journalism student at American University who is currently pursuing a degree in journalism. She serves as the publishing director at HCAU. In her free time, Hannah finds enjoyment in reading, running, and attending Nationals games.
