Caps Are Back: How to Get the “Sporty-Chic” Look

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at American chapter.

Baseball caps are a trend that never went away. It seems that now, more than ever, celebrities are rocking baseball caps, making “sporty-chic” one of the hottest Spring looks. Caps are so easy to throw on,  easpecially if you’re having a bad hair day, if you’re going to the gym, running errands, or going to a sporting event. Today, stars have started wearing caps on a regular basis to create a whole new sporty-chic look.

Known for her high end fashion sense, Kim Kardashian-West (KKW) stepped out wearing one of her lux fur coats, a black body suit, and you guessed it-a baseball cap. Granted this wasn’t any old cap. KKW sported an Anti-Social Club “I Miss You” cap that retails for $46.69. Pairing this cap with a Miu Miu coat, Mrs. West has helped put baseball caps back on the map as a necessary accesory for spring.

Other members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan have been seen out with caps on, but they put their own spin on the trend. These sisters make sure to make their hat choice as unique as they are, choosing hats designed by Kanye West or even wearing leather caps. They sure know how to “throw on” a cap.

It’s not only stars that are wearing caps again.  Spring fashion this year has a new sporty vibe that women everywhere are trying out. The sporty-chic look is perfect for an “on the go” outfit that is stylish and unique because not many women will think to pair a baseball cap with a nice outfit. Here are some ways to incorporate caps and sporty elements into your spring wardrobe. Let’s get our sport on!
