Coachella has come and gone, and the FOMO is still real. Remember a week or two ago when you were in class and your favorite celebrities were posting on Instagram and Twitter all of their music festival adventures? There were flash tattoos, rompers, bras as shirts, crazy dyed hair, Jenner road trips and more. Luckily for the Internet, we were able to experience a slice of the arguably coolest music festival of the year. Reminisce with me, as we look at some of the best and worst dressed celebrities.
Best Dressed:
Kendall Jenner and Hailey Baldwin
This year’s looks prove this duo can do no wrong! Kendall’s shirt and flowy shorts combination is cute, and her accessories give the outfit the perfect bohemian feel. Hailey keeps it simple with a cute crop top and shorts, and proves that sometimes less is more.Â
Hilary Duff
Simplicity is the game here. You can’t go wrong with this shirt, shorts, and hat combination. It’s clear that she isn’t trying so hard to be different, and is just there to have fun. I love everything about this outfit, and want it for myself. (Side note: I have never been a fan of her green hair, but I have to say that it looks so good here.)
Sarah Hyland
I love this romper because the colors are bold, and it works for Sarah! The shoes and flower crown match with the belt, and the tattoos prove that no one does flower power like her.
Jamie Chung
Jamie Chung always has classy outfits, and this one is no different. This dress is simple, yet defined. The jewelry and boots add a very boho touch, without going overboard. In other words, I’m in love with it.
Beyoncé
Queen Bey can really do no wrong. The flowy dress, the boots, the HAT… everything is perfect. She is just emitting free spirit energy, and I want to be her.Â
Worst Dressed:
Kylie Jenner
There were so many things wrong with Kylie’s Coachella outfits this year, but let’s just start with this one. First of all, what’s up with all the wigs? Wearing wigs that are strange colors, way too big for your head, and don’t contribute to your outfit whatsoever doesn’t make you trendy, Kylie. And if you put in so much work into choosing the wig, why hide it behind such an ugly hat? I just don’t get it.
Rihanna
RiRi’s outfits broke my heart because her style is always on point. I mean, she could walk out in the street in her pajamas and still slay the game. But this Aztec print poncho has me thinking that she just stole a blanket from her house, and then told her stylist to make matching pants. No, Rihanna. Just no.
Katy Perry
Katy’s style is all over the place. One minute she’s so trendy it hurts, and the next she’s wearing the weirdest hair and outfit combination. And sadly, this is one of those times. While I appreciate the homage to the 90’s with the overalls, the colors are too much. And there’s also the fact that she is continually toeing the line of appropriating African American culture…
Jaden Smith
Jaden’s style in general is very hit or miss, because he wants to be as different as possible. While I respect him for his ability to be comfortable wearing whatever, I still can’t will myself to like this outfit. I am as confused by this outfit as I am when trying to read his tweets. I can’t tell if it’s the really short shorts, or the shirt. But hey, who’s really surprised by this? I’m not.
Chris Brown
This really isn’t that surprising because Chris Brown has never been known to abide by traditional standards when it comes to his hair or clothes. I just don’t understand this performance look. First of all, it’s way too bright. He looks like a traffic cone. Then there’s the fact that his hair is three different colors. That’s right, folks. Under that hat, his hair is blue, red, and blonde. Just do less, Chris. Do less.Â
