On Nov. 12 it finally happened, the anticipation was over and Disney+ arrived. Disney+ is a streaming service that was released by The Walt Disney Company that allows its users to stream Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic. Naturally, it includes everything from childhood favorites such as Hannah Montana to new blockbusters like Avengers: Endgame.

So, how much does this cost? It’s a natural thought for broke college students. Well, for the ability to stream Disney+ on its own it is $6.99 a month. But if you want the bundle, which includes Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+, it costs $12.99 a month.

Disney+ includes a wide variety of your favorite Disney films and that would give you major nostalgia. They have many of the classic films such as Dumbo and Cinderella, but they also have Disney channel originals such as Wizards of Waverly Place and High School Musical. Having these classics makes having Disney+ worth it since many of these are hard to find and watching them allows you to feel like a child when you don’t want to adult.

Not only does Disney+ include many of their classic Disney movies, but they also have new, exclusive original shows and movies. These include the live-action Lady and the Tramp, Noelle starring Anna Kendrick and High School Musical: The Musical The Series. Disney+ in this scenario seems quite similar to Netflix by offering original shows and movies.

Other than having Disney movies and shows, Disney+ also offers Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic. So if you are itching to watch superheroes, toys come to life, a fight in the galaxy or something more serious and information-based, Disney+ has your back. Also, to help people save money and to be equal to Netflix’s variety, Disney+ has a partnership with Hulu and ESPN to have a package that is only $6 more than having Disney+ alone. This can save money as you don’t have to pay for each streaming service individually.

Disney+ is very similar to Netflix as it has a similar layout. However, Disney+ has all of the movies and TV shows from your childhoodup up until now which are in limited supply on Netflix. Additionally, Disney+ partners with different companies to give you a greater variety.

So going back to question is Disney+ worth it? If you are looking for a good throwback night or love any of the major names such as Marvel or Star Wars that are included with Disney+, then definitely get it. You may not love all of the movie brands offered, but if you want a great streaming service that also offers more and partners with other services, Disney+ was created for you.
