Meet Gabrielle Velasco, American University Class of 2015 Campus Cutie!

Hometown: Hampsted, NH

Relationship Status: Single

Major: International Studies

Minors: Spanish/Law & Society

Goals before graduation: Finding a job is definitely my #1 priority, and I also want to finish my D.C. bucket list!

Dream job: Immigration Lawyer

#1 Goal on bucket list: I want to go to a Capitals game! Then I will have seen all of the D.C. sports teams play. I also want to finally try Ben’s Chilli Bowl.

Favorite college experience: It’s definitely a tie between going to Madrid for my study abroad and leading an Alternative Break to the U.S.-Mexico Border. Both experiences were amazing!

Favorite part about alt-break: It was so rewarding not only to give back, but to also see the trip participants have a successful and life-changing experience. It was great to see all of our hard work put into action.

Dream date: Dinner at We the Pizza and then walking the entire width of the mall, from the Capitol to the Lincoln Memorial. I love night monumenting!

Favorite place in the world: Fenway Park! Not only do I love Boston and baseball, but I also have had so many amazing experiences while being at the stadium. Not to mention, the Red Sox kick butt!

Best meal you’ve ever eaten: Tamales and chipotle soup that my grandma made me in Mexico. I could have eaten a million!

Secret fact: I used to model and I was once almost a pageant queen!

Must-have: My phone. I never leave without it!

I am a freshman studying Internatioal Relations at American University and am a lover of all things food, fashion, and interior design. I have an unhealthy obsession with dessert and I secretly love Lizzie McGuire.  Life is grΣΔΤ!
