Alright collegiettes, we’re in the home stretch of the semester. We know that you are sure to be fried after finals so we created a checklist of items not to forget when you are packing to come home for the holiday break.
Summer clothes: If you’re looking for some more space in your closet second semester, get ready to make the big swap. This winter, pack away some summer clothes to leave at home in order to make room for your winter wardrobe upgrade.
Dirty clothes: Don’t waste your last precious weeks on campus on laundry. Pack away some dirty clothes and do them at home(for free!) and maybe if you’re lucky Mom will take this week’s load off of your hands.
Christmas presents: If you did some serious holiday shopping for family and friends while you were in DC, don’t forget to pack them away to take home with you this December.
Chargers: This is by far the most common item left at home when people are packing. Don’t forget all your chargers for your phone, computer, iPad, etc.
Passport: International collegiettes, don’t forget your passports or this could be one sad and lonely holiday in the capital.
Prescriptions: Don’t forget to pack away all your medicines and make sure that they are packed according to TSA guidelines.
Print your plane ticket/boarding pass: Almost every traveler has gone through the embarrassing interaction of arriving at the ticket desk and realizing that they have forgotten to print their ticket. Keep the holidays as stress free as possible and don’t let this be your situation!
A bestseller novel for fun: Hopefully you’ve already turned last semester’s textbooks into some extra spending money, but be sure to pick up a real page turner for your long flights and layovers, like John Grisham’s newest work Sycamore Row.
Don’t stress about packing after finals, that’s what Her Campus AU is for. So put on some fuzzy socks, sip on a peppermint mocha and relax while reading up on must-have winter beauty products.
