The time is almost here. We have already been given two songs that have left Adele fans reminiscing over emotional relationships that may, or may not have been, real life. But, that is besides the point. The hard-hitting down-to-earth diva has finally come back into the public’s eye and will be releasing her new album, “25”, at the end of this week! Just to catch you up on the life of Adele since her last album release: in November of 2011 the artist underwent hemorrhage surgery, but not too long after receiving six Grammy Awards, all in major categories. In February 2012, she joined forces with Paul Epworth and recorded the theme song of 23rd James Bond Movie, Skyfall, which was released October 2012. To top it all off, her son Angelo was born that same month. Yet, the singer is still considering this period of time between her latest album and the new album “a break.”
Adele and her record company confirmed the unofficial rumor of a new album on October 21 via social media. Adoring fans were sent into an excitement frenzy which was then heightened the next day with the release of the album’s single “Hello”! As if this wasn’t already enough, the release was complete with the official music video which was, according to the YouTube Trends report posted on November 18, played 50 million times within the first 48 hours. Just to keep things interesting, another song on the new album “When We Were Young” hit the public through a flawless YouTube video that involves the singer flaunting her simplistic style complimented by her powerhouse vocals. Soulfully accounting for the reunion of past relationships, the singer puts everyone through an intense journey of reflection that doesn’t even need to be true to exist. Simply stated, the past few weeks have sent Adele fans through emotional turmoil, but yet they still wait patiently, with tissues in hand, for Saturday’s official release.
Adele has said that the album “25” is a new conversation relating to the scarred relationships she sang so soulfully in her last album “21.” Instead of rendering heartbreak, the singer has been quoted accounting for her new approach, “…if I had to label this one I would call it a make-up record. I’m making up with myself. Making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did.” Continuing the process of heavy hearted agendas, the singer is presenting the next step in her relationship process, self love.
The album is to be officially released on Saturday, November 20th.
Use the time you have left to prepare.
