This Sunday night, Super Bowl 50 took place featuring the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers. As always, the halftime show was subject to a lot of pop cultural attention and speculation. This year, Coldplay, Bruno Mars and Beyoncé took the stage and wowed! If you saw it, you might have reacted like this:
First, Coldplay made a strong opening with “Viva La Vida,” satisfying your expectations.
Then Chris Martin said, “Whoever you are, wherever you are, we’re in this together.” You probably don’t have a soul if a tear didn’t come to your eye.
Then, their performance of “Paradise” gave you life.
Just when you thought you were emotional enough, “Hymn For The Weekend” made you appreciate life and feel your love for Coldplay warm your heart.
After that emotional rollercoaster; Bruno and his #squad came out dancing, in matching leather ensembles. This should have had you dancing on the couch like:
And then the moment you had been waiting for….
Beyoncé arrived on the field and basically won the Super Bowl, singing her newest single “Formation.” Needless to say, she slayed and you probably died.
When Chris, Bey and Bruno sang “Uptown Funk” and “Up&Up” together, you were brought back to life by #friendshipgoals.
And today you are in a post-Super Bowl slump. The cure for which is re-watching the performance on YouTube about a million times, or going back to Bey’s halftime show from 2013 if you feel like you didn’t get enough.
