Viewers of the fan-favorite show Hart of Dixie will have to say goodbye to the small town of Bluebell, Alabama on March 27th after the show has seemingly been cancelled. Although there has been no official confirmation of the cancellation by the network the CW, but series creator Leila Gerstein has sent out a series of tweets saying her final farewell to the show and telling fans that the “final episodes” are about to air.Â
When the show first premiered, fans were so excited to see Rachel Bilson back on the air in as a series front-runner after ending her time on another fan favorite show The O.C. Hart of Dixie is one of the CW’s only shows that has been cancelled this season even though it has had steady ratings over the past season. It has the same numbers as the historical drama Reign, which has been renewed for another season. Unfortunately, the numbers were not enough. With wonderful characters, a never-ending amount of (not so dramatic) drama and a beautiful cast dynamic, it is hard to say goodbye to the great show.
Here are the top 5 things we are going to miss about the Hart of Dixie:
1. The Lavon and Zoe friendship
Who says girls and guys can’t be best friends? Zoe and Lavon were such great friends from the very first episode of season 1. Between giving each other advice and never fighting for long, viewers were longing for a friendship like theirs.
2. The never-ending love triangles
Although Bluebell was your ideal small town, we all know what happens when everyone knows each other. Everyone was dating everyone and it was very hard to keep track of.
Â
3. The Southern, small town charm
Whether it was preparing for the annual Founder’s Day parade or watching the Belle’s partake in the numerous town traditions, Bluebell was the epitome of your beautiful Southern town.
Â
4. Rachel Bilson
This was Rachel’s first lead role on the small screen since her O.C. days were over. Although Zoe Hart is no Summer Roberts, she still has that quirky charm we all missed.
Â
5. The beautiful men!
From Scott Porter to Wilson Bethel to Cress Williams there was no shortage of eye candy on the show.
People are lobbying for Netflix to pick up the show to continue on, but for now people will just have to watch the past seasons and hope for the best!
