Superbowl Treats to Make This Weekend

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at American chapter.

It’s time for the Super Bowl again, and whether or not you are rooting for one of the teams in the big game, odds are you’re going to take advantage of all the yummy foods at the viewing parties. If you’re hosting a party at your place and need some inspiration for dishes, here are some great ideas on how to make your dishes a little more creative.

Football Cupcakes

These chocolate on chocolate cupcakes look absolutely delicious! The football icing decoration on top perfects the look for the special day. These look super easy to make.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Who doesn’t love chocolate covered strawberries?! These are a party favorite and take no time to make. Add a little extra decoration to make them look like footballs and they’re great for your guests.

Watermelon Helmet Fruit Bowl

Looking for something a little healthier? Sick of footballs? No problem! Try this out. Guests always love healthy options. Learn how to carve the watermelon here. Then just fill the bowl with a variety of balled or cut fruit.

Layered Dip

These are too cute! Make individual cups, that way everybody has their own dip. Add some salsa, guacamole, sour creme, cheese and other layers to add variety. Make sure you have chips for the dip!

Pigs in a Blanket

This is another classic party dish. These are sure to be a crowd favorite for your party. You can add some type of sauce in the middle to add more flavor. Find the recipe here.

BBQ Wings

BBQ Wings

Here’s another great appetizer. This particular recipe is sweet & tangy BBQ wings. You can find the recipe here. If you have your own version of BBQ wings, make those! Either way, make sure you have a lot of napkins to go around!

Sausage and Cheese Cracker Bites

This is probably the simplest recipe yet. Just take cheese and sausage and put them on crackers. Simple, but everyone loves cheese on crackers. You can cut the cheese and sausage with a cookie cutter or just a knife into the football shape.
