Luck Be a Lady
Deschanel’s cover game is on point: she graces one of Elle’s February covers for its “Women In TV” issue and Lucky’s March edition, respectively. Be sure to pick up the magazine to read the star’s trusty insight. Through HelloGiggles, the site that she co-owns, and in her career in general, Deschanel has spoken out against critics who mistake her femininity for weakness. She response saying, “It’s sort of the grown-up version of middle-school nastiness, and I’m just like, come on. If there’s one thing I’d like to graduate from, it’s girl-on-girl hate. I don’t believe in it.” Go Zooey!
Tommy & Zooey
Who doesn’t envy Zooey’s retro look? The star recently announced an exclusive Tommy Hilfiger capsule collection that debuts at select Macy’s stores this spring. If you’re not familiar with Zooey’s work, or you can’t get enough of the woman, stream Our Idiot Brother on Netflix where she plays a memorable supporting role as a sister to Paul Rudd, the title character. And listen to her band She & Him’s latest, Volume 3.
Catch episodes of New Girl every Tuesday at 9 p.m. on Fox, or catch up on Hulu and Netflix. Look out for the upcoming Deschanel-produced Queen of Everything, an animated comedy.
