15 Signs You May Be the Mom of Your Friend Group

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at App State chapter.

1.  You always carry snacks with you wherever you go.

2.  Coupons.

Why would you ever pay full price, anyway?

3.  You always make sure everyone gets home safe at the end of the night.

Whether you call the beeper or serve as the DD, you always make sure your friends get home safe after a long night. Don’t forget about the inevitable “Are you home?”  follow up text.

4.  You always end up holding everyone’s stuff.

It’s a good thing you have a big bag.

5.  You make sure your roommates are always on schedule.

“Will you make sure I’m up before my 9 a.m.?”

6.  You always lead the way when you walk with your squad.

7.  You’re obsessed with HGTV even though you are years away from actually owning a house.

8.  You’re there to take care of your friends.

Whether they are sad and need a shoulder to cry on, or they’re in need of chicken soup to beat that cold, you’re their girl.

9.  You work hard to prevent everyone’s hangovers.

From forcing water on them at 12 am to buying them Gatorade at 12 pm.

10.   You LOVE to cook.

All college students have a cookbook collection, right?

11. Your purse is basically a portable pharmacy.

Whether you need cold medicine, allergy medicine, Tylenol, tampons, gum, Chapstick, hair ties, Band-Aids, bobby pins, or tissues you’ve got it covered.

12. You always know where people’s “lost” objects are.

If its “lost” chances are you know where to “find” it.

13.   You leave notes.

Whether they are reminders or inspirational blurbs, they can always count on you to look after them!

14.   You clean up after your friends.

Those cups been in the sink a week? Not anymore.  Leave your laundry in the dryer for two days? Not if you can help it.

15.  They come to you for life advice.

How do you get makeup stains out? How do you cut a spaghetti squash? How do you mail a package? What do I wear to the interview? Mother always knows best!
