Oh, hi! Hey, there! Are you constantly juggling classes, extracurriculars, work and still find time to work out? Are you struggling to meet deadlines and get enough sleep? Do you find yourself having to turn friends down when they ask to do something over the weekend?

If you said, “yes,” to any of the above, congratulations! You may be an over-involved student!

While it’s great to be involved on campus and keep busy, it may take you on a roller coaster of emotions and leave you with little to no free time (or even time to clean or be organized and do homework). So let’s demonstrate how the life of an over-involved student plays out with the comedic genius himself, Jim Carrey.

First, it all starts with interest. So much interest.

And you feel on top of everything.

Then, you start to actually have to do work and want to do everything at once (or at least the least important things first).

But just thinking about everything gets you like…

So you understand this.

Then, you actually feel accomplished.

And dodge bad grades and sickness from lack of sleep like…

But after a while, you realize you may be doing too much.

But you don’t know how to stop.

But you tell your friends and/or family you’re doing good because you are. You love everything. It’s just a lot.

But it gets to the point when your parents and/or close friends notice, have an intervention with you and tell you that you need to cut back, and you’re like…

But when they check on you to see if you’ve cut back on anything, you’re like…

Then, you finally figure out what you can cut back on and actually do it.

Unfortunately, you’re still busy and have to play catch up with your grades and tasks.

And you go into full on work mode, along with fifty billion cups of coffee (or in Carrey’s case, red bull).

You can’t even think about the end of the semester right now. You just want more time to do everything and do it great.

You even wonder why you even do this to yourself.

Fortunately, everything starts to slow down before the storm (aka finals) and you’re enjoying it. You can’t even think about organization or future projects.

Because thinking about all the other projects, assignments, cleaning, laundry, checkbook balancing, thank-you card writing, etc. makes you hella nervous, like you can’t do it all…

But you got this. You have to. Just look at Jim Carrey in all his goofy, attractive brillance. He believes in you!
