This year, Sigma Kappa hosted their first annual men’s pageant, Mr. Sigma Kappalachian. The pageant featured contestants from several fraternities on campus that competed to win the title of Mr. Sigma Kappalachian, as well as a donation to their philanthropy. The men competed in swimsuit, formal wear, interview, and talent portions of the contest and the pageant was judged by a sister from each of the Panhellenic sororities on campus. The audience enjoyed a phenomenal performance from all of the contestants! James Ashley of Alpha Phi Alpha won Mr. Personality with his insightful answers during the interview section. Only one could be crowned Mr. Sigma Kappalachian though, and this lucky man was Brewer Logan from Pi Kappa Phi! He won the entire audience over with his rendition of Justin Timberlake’s ‘Cry me a River’ in the talent portion. Sigma Kappa could not have been more appreciative of the support they received for this event and the cooperation of all the contestants.
We interviewed Sigma Kappa’s President and the Vice President of Philanthropic Services to get the inside scoop of what went on behind Mr. Sigma Kappalachian.
*Interviews were conducted before the pageant date.
