Summer came and went, so quickly
Here then gone in such a flash
Campfires, parties, family beach trips
Are all now memories in the past
When classes started, vacation parted
We’re now back in the swing of school
But I’m still feeling rather sluggish
And need some more time to refuel
Some more time off, to catch my breath?
Just a week more, maybe two
Now were returning, and I love learning,
But sleep is very pleasant too
Textbooks, papers, headphones blaring
Campus is alive again
And all I’m asking, if I’m honest
Is one more day to sleep, ‘til 10
