The Top 10 Twitter Accounts You Need to Follow

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at App State chapter.

Twitter has quickly become the most addictive social networking site for college students around the world. For every problem, insecurity, or obsession you may have, there’s a twitter account to follow. We’ve all heard of the infamous tweets that come from accounts like Princess Problems and Men’s Humor, but there are countless other hilarious accounts you shouldn’t miss! Check out the top ten accounts Her Campus App State recommends:
1. Disneywords (@disneywords) – There’s no denying it; no matter how old you are, the occasional Disney classic never gets old. When you’re looking to reminisce on your childhood favorite films, Disneywords is the way to go. After all, what could brighten your day more than signing on to Twitter and seeing your favorite Cinderella quote?

2. Sororitygirlproblems (@sororproblems) – For the girls who love boys in bowties, formals, Lilly Pullitzer dresses, and sorority life, this is the account to follow! Even if you don’t know the first thing about sororities (like me), you’re sure to get a laugh out of reading this account’s tweets.

3. Women’s Humor (@WomensHumor)
– There are some things that most men will never understand: Why we gush over celebrities like Channing Tatum (you know you’ve done it), why we complain during our time of the month, why “The Notebook” makes us tear up every time, and countless other scenarios. For a good laugh, be sure to follow this account. You’ll be retweeting everything.

4. Vodka Vendettas (@VodkaVendettas) – If you’re in college, chances are you’ve had a drunken night out with your friends. You’ve made mistakes, flirted with the wrong guys, and had one drink too many. When you make memories that you can’t remember the next day, just look to VodkaVendettas. Chances are she has a pretty good idea of what happened last night!

5. Great Minds Quotes (@GreatestQuotes) – Amidst all the silly, pointless accounts you’ll find on Twitter, it’s always nice to come across something a bit more meaningful. If you’re looking for an account to provide you with thought provoking, intelligent, and encouraging words of wisdom, look no further.

6. SingleGirlStruggles (@singlestrugglin) – With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, plenty of girls are feeling the sting of not having a boyfriend to help them celebrate. You aren’t alone! Follow this account for a “support group” of unattached girls throughout the Twitter world.

7. Crazy Girlfriend (@crazyGFprobz) – Oh, be honest. We’ve all had our “crazy girl” tendencies. This is the account that reassures all girls that they aren’t the only ones who demanded something ridiculous from their exes. If you’re looking for a good laugh, follow this account!

8. Fatgirlproblems (@fatgirlproblms) – Ever find yourself shamelessly munching on a bag of potato chips while watching your favorite TLC weight loss show? I know I have. For girls like us, Fatgirlproblems is the account to follow.

9. SouthernGirlProblems (@SouthernProblem) – Whether you’re from South Carolina or California, we all have some southern struggles in our lives. And hey, even if you have nothing to do with the south, you’re sure to get a laugh at the shenanigans we southern girls get ourselves into!

10. Awkward Girl Problem (@AwkGrlPrblms) – We’ve all had those nights when you’re at a party, a cute boy is talking to you, you’re feeling uncomfortable, and you can’t think of a thing to say. In these hard times, Awkward Girl is the one to follow. With more uncomfortable situations to name than you could possibly imagine, this account is sure to make you feel better about your embarrassing moments!
