There are only a few things in this world that I genuinely 100% love with my whole heart and soul. Honestly, I would sacrifice my one friend and every member of my family for these things. They include the show “The Office”, all seven of the Harry Potter Books, vodka, anything involving Chelsea Handler, and last but certainly not least, Nick Johnson’s face. I can’t even handle how beautiful he is. I could write this whole article (which is allowed to be up to 1,500 words) about Nick Johnson’s face, but there are only so many words for the term “perfection”. Okay but really I’m not one of those girls who only appreciate Nick Johnson for his face (That’s only about 97% of the reason why I love him). Dude has hops for days and I love watching him play basketball. In this last Saturday’s win against Utah, baby Nick was our leading scorer with 18 puntas (working on my Spanish).
This season was off to a rocky start but Arizona is proving to fans that the end of the season is a long ways away. This Utah game marked Arizona’s fourth win in a row after a sweep in California two weekends ago and two wins against Colorado and Utah this last weekend. Next, Arizona will be heading to Washington just about wrapping up the regular season before the Pac-12 tourny. Though we basically savaged Washington State by over 20 points earlier in the season we faced a heartbreaking 67-69 loss to Washington. Hopefully this weekend will signify redemption for the Az hoopers.
I know the whole beginning of this is basically a love letter to Nick Johnson, and after re reading it I realize how psychotic I sound. Don’t judge me ladies. But I have to admit this last game against Utah was a team effort by the Cats which was something we seemed to lack in the beginning of the season. Four of the cats this weekend shared the loved and scored in double digits including B Lav, Solo, Foggy, and Baby Nicky.
But enough about the boys, I just read about this and honestly, I feel like I would be letting you all down if I didn’t tell you this. This Sunday the women’s basketball team is hosting an event called “Wag Your Tail at McKale”. During their game against the Washington Huskies the team is inviting people to bring their dogs to the arena. Are you joking me? Honestly have never heard of a better idea. I would definitely bring my dog but he likes to play this game where he pretends to be cracked out, drunk, and on meth all at the same time. (Love him though.) Plus my dog likes to go to the bathroom in literally the most inconvenient places ever, and I’m not trying to be responsible for messing up anyone’s kicks. As a dog person who hates, and will continue to hate cats forever (except the wildcats) I fully support the girls’ basketball team in this endeavor. And fella’s we all know the way to a girl’s heart is through a puppies innocent little face so I suggest you borrow a friends lap dog and head to the game. Bear Down!
